Meet the Team
Age in Motion is the husband and wife team of Terry Diachun and Joanne Wright.
Both Terry and Joanne regularly attend seminars, workshops and classes specifically geared towards fitness and the older adult. They believe that by continually expanding their knowledge in their field of expertise they can provide the highest quality of professional service for each of their clients.
Joanne has close to 30 years experience working with older adults as a Recreational Therapist. She is a certified YMCA personal trainer and Canfit Pro Older Adult Fitness Specialist. She maintains a CPR certification. She has worked with those individuals who have chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s, strokes, diabetes, arthritis and frailty.
Joanne concentrates her efforts in motivating and guiding others to remain active and strong in their daily activities and by giving each individual goal setting programs to help keep them balanced in mind, body and spirit.
Terry has been working as a personal trainer and part owner of Age in Motion since 2009. He has worked in a variety of different settings with over 10 years experience in the health care industry. His main focus is on establishing the necessary movements needed to maintain a safe and active lifestyle.
He is a certified YMCA personal trainer and Canfit Pro Older Adult Fitness Specialist. He also holds degrees in both psychology and philosophy from Concordia University. He maintains a CPR certification.
Terry concentrates his efforts on maximizing and maintaining a client’s independence and believes fitness training and weight bearing exercises in the older adult foster an enduring sense of personal empowerment, functional strength and control.
